Best 4 Disposable Razors Women Love And Use Every Day

Can There Be A ” Best Disposable Razor Women Love”…?

You may think I get asked what the best disposable razor for women is a lot but in actual fact, I don’t recall ever being asked that question… The interesting thing is that I have always had an answer ready in case the question comes up in conversation in the elevator at work, the laundry room at home or possibly in small talk while on a date with someone who just can’t carry a conversation.

The best disposable razor women love as far as I’m concerned is a little bit of each of the ones I’ve already used. There are some really good ones out there but there are also some that should never have gotten past the drawing board.

Now, when I say there’s some good features on many I really do mean that. For example, I like the pivoting head design of most. Sure, that was more than likely designed for men to use shaving their faces and to alleviate the crazy hand positions some of them probably had to adopt in order to get a close shave.

The pivoting head is probably the best part of any disposable shaver.

I’m not a big fan of moisture strips, but if you have dry skin it may come in handy if you didn’t already oil your legs up prior to shaving and the multi blade system is nice but I find I prefer just sticking to a twin blade. I’ve also spent a lot of time training the hair in my legs to stand at attention when it’s disposable razor day as opposed to when I’m in an epilating or laser kind of mood.

What I can assure you doesn’t make for the best disposable razor women like is cutesy names and rainbow colors. I’d just as soon swipe my boyfriend’s razor than unwrap a candy-colored piece of plastic ‘especially designed as  the “disposable razor women must have.’

If the question had originally been ‘What is the best disposable razor women can use as a prop in a slasher movie?’ The choices get a lot harder to sort through, but that wasn’t the question. And since we’re on the subject of cuts and abrasions, regardless of what disposable razor women use, you still risk the odd nick or jab.

That being said, there are a lot of ways to reduce the risk and often they have little to do with the razor as opposed to the condition of the hair and skin you plan on pulling a razor across in the first place.

Also, they are called disposable for a reason. The idea is to not get so attached to them that you can’t part with them. My general rule of thumb is to not give any of my disposable razors a name. I find that as soon as you name something, it is far more difficult to let go when the time comes. With this in mind, I also like to toss out my collection of old, dull and rusty disposable razors at least once a month.

The only exception to my rule is the one I consider the best disposable razor women use and it wasn’t even designed as women’s razors for women. I like the feel of a men’s disposable razor. They look serious in that they rarely come in pastel colors or smell of bubblegum or peppermint. For my money, the best disposable razor women use has always been the razor used by a guy.

No1)- Disposable Razor Women♥: Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor women love that moisturizes your skin with each and every stroke! I know, you can sense the sarcasm, but this disposable razor is pretty freakin’ amazing.

What’s So Good About the Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor?

Here’s just a few of the things it can do: it squirts out a water-activated moisturizing serum into your skin as it gently glides over it chopping all hair in its wake. It also has a total of five blades the fine people at Schick call ‘curve sensing’ which apparently allows more surface contact at parts of the body that curve as opposed to being perfectly flat. This is not the place for flat-chested jokes, either.

In addition to the amazing curve-sensing action of these blades, they have skin guards to reduce skin irritation and the cool looking oval shape of the cartridge allows access to those normally hard to reach spots without the help of a friend. Or a mirror and a few hours of yoga.

The Design Is Ergonomically Comfortable

The design of the Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor includes an ergonomic handle that is pretty easy to keep a firm grip on thanks to rubber grooves and a fancy curve to the handle that keeps the head out of water if you leave the razor sitting flat in the shower. Hint: I hang mine upright, but if you don’t, you may want to take a closer look at this one.

Ok, But How Does It Stack Up…?

Alright, now that the science is out of the way, how does this razor shave? Pretty nice when you consider it holds five blades in there. One more blade and I think we could forget about ever epilating again. The moisturizing squirt do-hickie is interesting, but I gel up as a rule so that doesn’t do much for me. What I like about this razor most is that I can easily toss it out when it’s done its run and I don’t feel a single bit of guilt. This disposable razor definitely makes my disposable razor women must have list!

No 2)- Disposable Razor Women Love♥: Gillette Venus Platinum Extra Smooth Metal Handle Women’s Razor & 2 Refills

One of the nifty things about disposable razors for both men and women is that there are some designs where you don’t toss the entire razor.

All you do is get rid of the shaving cartridge and replace it as long as you keep the handle. While this is pretty simple technology, it’s a lot like the days of VHS versus Beta.

Not every blade handle will fit replacement cartridges. This has always been a pain in the butt to me and is why I opt for using disposable razors that I can throw away, handle and all.

The Gillette Venus Platinum Is Feature Packed And Unique

The Gillette Venus Platinum is the first disposable razor women for women, created by this well-known men’s razor giant. What makes it stand out is that these razors contain 5 blades, which seems to be the current trend. While I’m okay with the reason behind adding more blades, I wonder when it’ll stop. I suspect in a year from now I’ll be telling you all about the seven blade and eight blade razor you actually sit on and slide the body part you want to shave across it.

The Gillette Venus Platinum has some cool features, just the same. In addition to an in-shower razor holder (score!), the razor cartridges are easy to change and replace plus the refill razor cartridges will fit any other Venus handle.

Top Rated Performance In The Gillette Venus Platinum

As for performance, there isn’t a lot a bundle of five blades is going to miss, but if this razor does, it’ll be purely by accident. The moisture strip will be of interest to those with naturally drier skin, so if you fit that category this could be your pick for a razor for the shower. I did find it allowed the razor to glide smoothly over my legs, but I do moisturize them on a regular basis anyway.

No 3)- Disposable Razor Women Love♥: Schick Quattro

Schick Quattro For Women Disposable RazorThe thing I really appreciate about the Schick Quattro For Women Razor is that Schick got it right all the way down to the name.

The word ‘quattro’ is Greek or Portuguese or Slovak for the number four. Take a wild guess how many blades are carefully fit into and held firmly in each cartridge on this razor. If you said five or six you must be a guy hiding in the back trying to disrupt this lesson.

Schick Quattro Boasts A 4 Blade Cartridge System

The four-blade cartridge system constructed by Schick is a pretty good tool for those of us girls who aren’t afraid to use something bigger than a twin blade.

While I am a fan of the twin blade, I do like the Quattro because I’m pretty sure it was named after that bad chick rocker from the 70s who likely never shaved her armpits at all. Sense some irony here? I do.

Schick Quattro Includes Conditioning Strips For Moisturizing…

What the Quattro does have is a pivoting head, much like Suzi had. Add to this not one, but two conditioning strips and I can visualize another wild overnight trip to Vegas once I shave my legs making sure those two moisturizing strips rub my legs with the right amount of Vitamin E. Hey, it works and not only will it keep my legs smoother, it’ll reduce irritation because that last thing I want to take to Vegas with me is a skin rash.

I will confess I do carry at least one of these amazing Schick razors with me when I’m travel ling. I do find I rarely need to use it though as the shave I get from it before I leave town usually lasts for days. The fact that this package includes a total of eight cartridges is great but for me translates to well over a year’s supply, which is why the Schick makes it onto my best disposable razor women must have list. For you that may vary somewhat.

No 4 )- Disposable Razor Women Love♥; Gillette Sensor2 Plus Pivot Razor

Okay, I have a confession to make. I am a thief. I have light fingers. I have found and stolen, on more than one occasion, the Gillette Sensor2 Plus Pivot Men’s Disposable Razor from more than one ‘guy friend’ when taking a bathroom break. I don’t really know why, but it’s like each of the men I know in a casual way uses a Gillette razor. Typically it’s the Sensor2.

Why do I steal them? Well, I can tell you right now that when I root through the medicine cabinet in search of a razor I don’t take a used one. That’s just plain creepy. Not that taking a clean one is any less creepy, now that I think about it.

Ergonomic Grip With The UltraGrip Handle …No Slippage..

Anyway, I take them because I really love the way this men’s razor feels in my hand and it probably has a little to do with the soft ‘Ultragrip’ handle but for some reason I really find the look of this razor somewhat intoxicating.

I’d argue with you that the lubricating strip on the shaving head does and doesn’t have its benefits but what really sort of wins me over with the Gillette Sensor2 is that the head is fixed. That means it does not pivot. There are parts of my body I want to shave bare and a pivoting head just detracts from what I’m trying to do. And I am fond of pivoting head razors. They really ought to be a must in every best disposable razor women like to use.

If you happen to be one of my guy friends and you just clued in as to why your razors keep disappearing I can tell you that you have nothing to fear. I’m not stalking you…at all. I don’t really want you. All I want is your razor. It started with a dare so many years ago I don’t remember why, but once I started using the razors I ‘borrowed’ I found it turned into a hobby of mine. I usually leave some money behind, so I don’t think I’m stealing them. Damn you, Gillette and your perfect razor!

Do I Use A Disposable Razor Often? The Answer Is, Depends…

When I am traveling I like to take along my little disposable shaver for ease of use, it’s just so sensible and just occasionally I like to be sensible:) Just joking there! Seriously though, when you travel it makes sense to keep the load light and I must say each of these disposable razor women love to use on a regular basis have come along way from where they used to be. The manufactures have realized we want feminine looking shavers for women without looking masculine, and with all the added benefits of mens razor’s and technology which I think you will agree, they have managed to do so!

Here’s to Smooth Gorgeous legs Ladies!
